As a Cybersecurity Strategy Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding IBM's clients, assessing their business needs to architect and deploy optimal security frameworks tailored to their requirements.

Your technical acumen will be essential in striking a balance between empowering and securing the client's enterprise, leveraging the innovative cognitive solutions that position IBM as a leader in the enterprise security sector.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst serves as a subject matter expert, gathering data from diverse sources to identify, monitor, and mitigate cyber threats.

This role involves supporting technical evaluations and preparing CTI outputs. You will provide insights and assistance to various stakeholders.

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior professionals and individuals from emerging markets, helping them understand how to leverage CTI for enhanced cyber resilience.

Your contributions will be vital in capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing the CTI capabilities of other organizations.
The following are key responsibilities of the CTI Analyst:

  • Conduct comprehensive OSINT analysis to generate CTI reports that educate both technical and non-technical personnel on cyber threats and their mitigations.
  • Develop and present briefings to audiences of varying seniority and cultural backgrounds to communicate CTI findings.
  • Provide training on the application of CTI to effectively counter cyber threats.
  • Utilize CTI platforms such as MISP and Anomali.
  • Experience in configuring and managing CTI platforms.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
○ Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in the cybersecurity domain.
○ Proven experience in various facets of cybersecurity threat intelligence.
○ Demonstrated ability in designing and executing capacity-building initiatives.
○ Proficient in writing, presenting, and producing deliverables.
○ In-depth knowledge of contemporary cybersecurity tools and systems, critical infrastructure security, incident response, strategic cybersecurity planning, and legal and regulatory frameworks.
○ Strong program management and leadership capabilities, including the ability to devise solutions for critical infrastructure cybersecurity, mentor counterpart staff, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
○ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
○ Ability to create detailed reports, documentation, and presentations.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience in cybersecurity capacity building.
  • Solid understanding of CTI platforms such as Anomali and MISP.
  • CISSP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
