Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct continuous monitoring of all supported systems and networks to identify and address cybersecurity incidents.
  • Develop and implement guidelines and strategies for security incident response, vulnerability assessments, and compliance activities.
  • Respond to cybersecurity alerts and ensure compliance with directives from relevant security service providers.
  • Provide technical documentation and support to facilitate the Authority to Operate (ATO) process for systems under management.
  • Engage in operational cybersecurity tasks, including vulnerability scanning and compliance with security guidelines.
  • Support governance, risk management, and compliance efforts by developing relevant policies and procedures.
  • Maintain comprehensive security documentation and records to support network connections and mission-critical systems.
  • Manage security assessment records and ensure compliance with established security controls.
  • Participate in configuration management processes and provide security assessments for proposed changes.
  • Analyze vulnerability scan results and coordinate remediation efforts for identified issues.
  • Support incident response protocols for various cybersecurity threats.
  • Ensure all cybersecurity documentation is current and accessible for accreditation purposes.
  • Contribute to regular status reports detailing technical activities and compliance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity within a DoD context.
  • DoD 8570 IAM II certification is mandatory; IAM III certification is preferred.
  • TS/SCI clearance is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in using DoD vulnerability scanning tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with security assessment processes and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in evaluating security controls.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively.
