Customer Advocate Engineer

At LiveKit, we are on the lookout for a unique type of engineer who thrives on engaging with customers and championing their needs. This role goes beyond traditional engineering; it is about connecting with developers, assisting them in overcoming challenges, and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed. If you find fulfillment in seeing a developer transition their LiveKit integration from testing to live, you may be the ideal candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct support to developers, teams, and organizations utilizing LiveKit, both in commercial settings and within the community.
- Identify, document, and resolve bugs, respond to customer inquiries, create sample and production-ready code, and enhance documentation and technical guides to benefit our users.
- Maintain regular communication with LiveKit customers to guarantee their ongoing success on our platform.
- Work collaboratively with Sales and Partnerships teams to develop strategies and assist in customer interactions.
You will excel as a Developer Success Engineer if you:
- Are a true engineer at heart.
- Are comfortable analyzing more code than you produce.
- Possess a natural talent for teaching, finding joy in guiding others to learn and succeed, and can simplify complex ideas for better understanding.
- Have strong proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Enjoy quickly learning new programming languages and prototyping innovative solutions.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with engaging a developer community.
- Contributions to open-source software.
- Experience building applications with LiveKit.
- A history of taking initiative in collaborative projects.
- Multilingual abilities, as LiveKit serves a global user base.
