Job Overview

The Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Coordinator Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities, documentation, and transfer of information related to scheduling and preparing patients for in-office appointments, surgical procedures, and/or related testing.

You will establish the needs of patients, providers, facilities, and payors to arrange an outcome that meets all requirements. You will coordinate office schedules and act as a liaison between relevant offices, departments, external resources, and individuals to achieve appropriate preparation arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient schedules and prepare them for in-office appointments, surgical procedures, and related testing.
  • Establish the needs of patients, providers, facilities, and payors to arrange an outcome that meets all requirements.
  • Coordinate office schedules and act as a liaison between relevant offices, departments, external resources, and individuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field desirable.
  • 2 years prior medical office experience required.
  • Prior experience with direct clinical patient contact in fields such as LNA, MA, EMT, or related field or relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of advanced computer skills.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

Estimated Salary Range: $20-$28 per hour
