POSITION SUMMARY:


The Firearms Retail Specialist is tasked with delivering exceptional Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms, alongside assisting with the sales of various Hunting Merchandise.

This role involves engaging in diverse selling and customer service activities, including warmly greeting and acknowledging all customers promptly, handling merchandise with care, and providing valuable information, assistance, and guidance to customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrates a strong commitment to outstanding customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for every customer.

Creates a memorable experience for each customer by assisting them in making informed purchasing decisions through:

1. Identifying and assessing customers' needs,
2. Making tailored product recommendations based on this evaluation,
3. Promoting various programs, including CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
Ensures that all necessary forms are completed accurately and thoroughly.
Possesses the ability to effectively demonstrate products to customers.
Organizes and maintains merchandise within the retail environment, particularly at the Gun Counter.
Restocks products on shelves as needed, adhering to merchandising guidelines.
Stays informed and knowledgeable about product offerings through ongoing training.
Maintains awareness of current promotions and ensures accurate pricing and signage.
Assists with seasonal merchandise arrangements.
Keeps the work area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Performs any other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 0-2 years in Retail
Must be at least 21 years of age

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Familiarity with Firearms and Ammunition products
Understanding of ATF Federal and State Regulations
Experience in Customer Service and Sales of Firearms and Ammunition

GCA
Ability to Merchandise and Stock Products

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly stand and/or walk during shifts
Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Regularly communicate with others to exchange information
Occasionally repeat motions that may involve the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
Light work involving moving objects up to 20 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of objects up to 100 pounds or more (team lift as needed)
Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
Occasionally work in noisy environments

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and innovative thinking. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve issues. Occasionally exercises independent judgment to complete work assignments and often makes recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
