As a Senior Manager - Technical Program Lead, you will be part of our 367 Garage incubation group, where we leverage GenAI to create new product categories and shape the future of compute.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team that operates as a startup incubator within HP, giving you the autonomy, resources, and support to explore, experiment, and execute on your ideas. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to create products and businesses across consumer and enterprise markets, with a focus on the intersection of hardware and AI.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of program managers to plan and execute multiple complex new device programs spanning EE, ME, and FW domains.
- Communicate program status and lead teams through key milestones.
- Develop detailed schedules for hardware (EE, ME, FW) design and builds.
- Partner with cross-functional development teams (HW/SW/Platform/Operations) to create functional plans, translate these into operational processes and program plans, and guide execution.
- Identify and anticipate risks/blockers/issues and work cross-functionally to effectively resolve with appropriate stakeholders.
- Guide the team through decisions, balancing business needs with technical constraints based on program priorities, and escalate when appropriate.
- Assist in program planning to identify timelines and resources needed and work with team leads to close resource gaps.
- Create a TPM (Technical Program Manager) community; advocate the value of TPMs, mentor TPMs across the organization, and ensure that business and engineering TPM needs are being met.
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- 7-10 years of experience managing programs for new hardware device development.
- 5+ years of people management experience managing EPM, EPS, TPM teams in a cross-functional organization.
- Experience with portable or wearable consumer electronic technology (hardware/software), mobile technologies, machine learning/AI preferred.
