Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Loan Processor who is meticulous, positive, and a collaborative team player to assist in the processing and verification of loan information. In this role, you will serve as the intermediary between our clients and the sales team, ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurately collected, loans are prepared for closing, and that all parties involved enjoy a remarkable experience throughout the loan process. The ideal candidate should possess a background in loan processing along with outstanding communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities Include:
- Embodying our company's core values and client-centric model to deliver exceptional customer service throughout the loan process.
- Efficiently processing loans to ensure a seamless experience for all parties involved.
- Collaborating and proactively communicating with both internal and external stakeholders, including:
- Internal: Loan Originators, Branch Managers, Team Leaders, and other Operations team members.
- External: Underwriters, real estate agents, borrowers, title companies, attorneys, homeowners insurance agents, and escrow agents.
- Building personalized relationships with borrowers and gathering necessary documentation to complete the loan process.
- Reviewing, preparing, and submitting approved loan files to the title company for settlement.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams by providing excellent customer service to our borrowers.
- Reviewing all loan approvals and addressing any conditions required for Underwriting and Closing teams promptly.
- Meeting or exceeding our service level agreements (SLA) for turnaround times with all internal and external clients.
- Obtaining and reviewing documentation relevant to various mortgage types.
- Coordinating with our Sales and Closing teams to ensure all parties involved in the loan process receive timely and accurate updates and have a positive experience.
- Scheduling and tracking closing dates, contingency dates, and loan lock expirations.
- Maintaining detailed records of data regarding the volume and status of loans in all applicable systems, including new applications, loans approved, canceled, or denied.
- Communicating effectively with outside vendors, borrowers, and the loan support team.
- Documenting all correspondence with loan parties.
- Performing additional responsibilities as needed based on business requirements.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of loan processing experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong follow-up abilities.
- Comfortable speaking on the phone with clients and external parties.
- Solid understanding of the mortgage loan process.
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and accountable.
- High attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects with competing deadlines.
- Experience handling a high volume of both government and conventional loans.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ARIVE, and similar software is advantageous.
- Broker/Correspondent experience is a plus.
