Role Requirements

We are in search of a Mortgage Loan Processor who is detail-oriented and a positive team player to assist in the processing and verification of loan information. In this role, you will serve as the intermediary between our clients and the sales team, ensuring that all necessary documents are accurately collected, loans are prepared for closing, and that all parties enjoy an outstanding experience throughout the loan process. The ideal candidate will possess a background in loan processing along with exceptional communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold and embody our company's core values and customer-centric model to deliver excellent service throughout the loan process.
  • Efficiently process loans to ensure a seamless experience for all parties involved.
  • Collaborate and communicate proactively with both internal and external stakeholders, including:
    • Internal: Loan Originators, Branch Managers, Team Leaders, and other Operations team members.
    • External: Underwriters, real estate agents, borrowers, title companies, attorneys, HOI agents, and escrow agents.
  • Develop personalized relationships with borrowers and gather necessary documentation to complete the loan process.
  • Review, prepare, and submit approved loan files to the title company for settlement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams by providing an excellent customer service experience.
  • Review all loan approvals and address any conditions required for Underwriting and Closing teams promptly.
  • Meet or exceed service level agreements (SLA) for turnaround times with all internal and external clients.
  • Obtain and review documentation relevant to various mortgage types.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Closing teams to ensure all parties receive timely and accurate updates, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Schedule and monitor closing dates, contingency dates, and loan lock expirations.
  • Keep meticulous records of data regarding the volume and status of loans in all applicable systems, including new applications, loans approved, canceled, or denied.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with outside vendors, borrowers, and the loan support team.
  • Document all correspondence with loan parties effectively.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed based on business requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong follow-up abilities.
  • Comfortable engaging with clients and external parties over the phone.
  • Solid understanding of the mortgage loan process.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and accountable.
  • High attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects with competing deadlines.
  • Experience with a high volume of both government and conventional loans.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, ARIVE, and similar software is advantageous.
  • Broker/Correspondent experience is a plus.
