Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a meticulous and positive team player to assist in coordinating and verifying loan information during the setup phase. The Loan Coordinator plays a crucial role in the preliminary assessment of submitted loans, ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate before registration. Core Duties Include:

  • Uphold and exemplify our company's core values and client-centric approach to deliver exceptional service throughout the loan process.
  • Prepare and manage all documentation for both existing and new loans, including necessary disclosures.
  • Serve as the initial contact point once the loan application is finalized.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and ensure timely communication with third parties to obtain required documents.
  • Evaluate the loan upon receipt and verify that all borrower information has been accurately entered into the loan origination system (LOS).
  • Document and review the borrower's loan, property, credit, and financial details to ensure precision.
  • Provide support and updates to the Loan Originator and borrower as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to register, lock, and disclose files.
  • Place orders and requests as needed for each file, submit the file to the lender, and acquire third-party documents (e.g., title, homeowners insurance, appraisal, HOA, etc.).
  • Transition signed and disclosed files to processing for the continuation of the loan procedure.
  • Engage and communicate proactively with both internal and external stakeholders, including:
    • Internal: Loan Originators, Loan Processors, Team Leaders, Lock Desk, and other Operations team members.
    • External: Underwriters, real estate agents, borrowers, title companies, attorneys, homeowners insurance agents, and escrow agents.
  • Monitor and document any potential issues for review (e.g., late payments within the Derogatory Summary of a credit report) in all relevant systems.
  • Become proficient with ARIVE (LOS) and various lender portals.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage operations.
  • Experience in registering, locking, and disclosing residential mortgage loans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and accountable.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Capacity to learn quickly and work independently in a high-volume environment.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Salesforce, or the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
