Role Requirements
UMortgage is seeking dedicated Loan Originator Assistants who are enthusiastic, personable, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service to enhance our sales team. As a Loan Originator Assistant, your responsibilities will include supporting Loan Originators, managing documentation, and liaising with clients. Ideal candidates should possess a keen attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage all documentation for both new and existing loans, including disclosures.
  • Evaluate the loan upon receipt and verify that all borrower information has been entered into the Loan Origination System (LOS).
  • Review and document the borrower's loan, property, credit, and financial details to ensure precision.
  • Engage and communicate proactively with both internal and external stakeholders, including:
    • Internal: Loan Originators, Underwriters, Processors, Team Leaders, and other team members.
    • External: Real Estate Agents, borrowers, title companies, attorneys, homeowners insurance agents, and escrow agents.
  • Monitor and document any potential issues for review, such as late payments noted in the Derogatory Summary.
  • Keep borrowers informed with necessary updates regarding product selections and pricing, as well as when Dual AUS is executed.
  • Provide assistance and status updates to Loan Originators and borrowers as required.
  • Ensure all necessary closing documentation is available to facilitate the closing process.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and responsible.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Self-motivated and goal-driven.
  • Familiarity with systems like Salesforce or the capacity to learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Experience with VA, FHA, Conventional, and Non-QM loans.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Willingness to work in Eastern Standard Time.
