Key Responsibilities

The essential functions of this role include:

  1. Regularly contacting customers and prospects to uncover potential sales opportunities for both new and used trucks, as well as trailers.
  2. Maintaining an organized database of current customers and sales leads, facilitating effective communication across departments.
  3. Assisting sales personnel in preparing sales quotes when time constraints arise.
  4. Supporting the filing and tracking of sales assistance for new trucks when necessary.
  5. Engaging with customers and prospects visiting the dealership in the absence of sales staff.
  6. Providing assistance to rental customers during peak times.
  7. Organizing and managing used truck inventory files within the dealership's database.
  8. Updating the company website with specifications and images of used truck inventory.
  9. Collaborating with the Sales Manager to gather information for monthly marketing materials.
  10. Coordinating advertising efforts for new and used trucks as directed.
  11. Following up with customers to ensure satisfaction with their purchases.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, along with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in retail sales, preferably in the heavy or medium-duty truck sector.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A commitment to the company's core values.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Mathematical proficiency for preparing sales quotes and analyzing market data.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and customer interaction.
  • The physical capability to demonstrate truck features and assess their value.
