Position Summary: The Suite Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all meeting spaces and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and professionalism, meeting all requirements prior to event commencement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and set up tables, chairs, and linens for events in the conference center.
  • Provide and set up additional items as needed (e.g., flipcharts, whiteboards, screens).
  • Assist in preparing conference rooms to ensure they are equipped with necessary materials (pens, pads, handouts, etc.).
  • Refresh rooms between meetings to maintain a clean and professional environment.
  • Deliver prompt and detailed service as scheduled or requested by management.
  • Maintain consistent communication via phone and email with clients, guests, team members, and support departments.
  • Assist clients and visitors throughout the facility, providing directions and escorting them to meeting rooms.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and service partners to ensure information is current and shared effectively.
  • Offer recommendations to planning managers regarding optimal room setups and solutions for unique challenges.
  • Conduct regular inspections of meeting rooms and coordinate with the necessary departments for maintenance.
  • Assist with basic audio-visual equipment as required.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and notify supervisors when additional items are needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or as a houseman/porter is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
