Family Support Program Coordinator

The Family Support Program Coordinator will oversee all facets of the Smart Parents, Smart Communities initiative, supervising the Counselor/Parent Coach, Social Media Coordinator, and parent trainers, while reporting to the Program Supervisor. This role involves collecting and analyzing data to facilitate continuous monitoring and enhancement of the program. The Coordinator will manage the daily operations of the Triple P program, which encompasses participant recruitment, program marketing, and the delivery of the evidence-based Triple P curriculum.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the administrative functions of the program, including staffing, training, service delivery, and reporting.
- Engaging in and coordinating ongoing recruitment and outreach efforts for program participants.
- Ensuring accurate and timely data collection and reporting concerning program participants and outcomes.
- Delivering evidence-based parenting services and support within the community through various formats (group sessions, one-on-one, in-person, virtual).
- Building partnerships with community organizations, parenting and early childhood system agencies, and local parenting collaborators.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, child development/early childhood education, or a related field.
- Experience in delivering program curriculum to adults in group settings.
- Proficiency in technology, including familiarity with database and spreadsheet applications, as well as experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to engage with families from diverse backgrounds and cultures, demonstrating cultural sensitivity.
- Working knowledge of local, state, and community resources.
- Capability to organize tasks effectively to manage both coordination and facilitation aspects of the role.
- Proven experience in proactively identifying and overcoming challenges to program success.
- Excellent communication skills, encompassing written, verbal, and formal presentation abilities.
- Understanding of how intersecting systems of racial, gender, and class discrimination impact conditions for early childhood educators, childcare programs, and the families they serve.
- A commitment to contributing to a workplace that values collaboration, diversity, growth, and respect for all individuals.
- Strong rapport-building skills, adeptness at problem-solving in various situations, and robust analytical capabilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
