Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange and set up tables, chairs, and linens for events in the conference center.
  • Provide and organize additional items not included in the room setup (e.g., flipcharts, whiteboards, screens).
  • Ensure conference rooms are prepared with necessary materials (pens, pads, handouts, event packages).
  • Refresh meeting spaces between events.
  • Deliver prompt and detailed service as directed by management or upon request.
  • Maintain effective communication via phone and email with clients, guests, team members, and support departments.
  • Assist clients and visitors throughout the facility, including providing directions and escorting them to meeting rooms.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and service partners to ensure that all information is current and accurate.
  • Advise planning managers on suitable room setups and work together to address unique setup challenges.
  • Conduct regular inspections of meeting rooms and coordinate with the necessary departments for maintenance.
  • Assist with basic audio-visual equipment as required.
  • Keep track of inventory and notify supervisors when supplies are low.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in customer service or as a houseman/porter is preferred.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
