The Parenting Education Program Coordinator will oversee all facets of the Smart Parents, Smart Communities initiative, supervising the Counselor/Parent Coach, Social Media Coordinator, and parent trainers, while reporting to the Program Supervisor. This role involves gathering and utilizing data to enhance ongoing program monitoring and improvement. The Coordinator will manage the daily operations of the Triple P program, which includes: participant recruitment, program marketing, and the facilitation of the evidence-based Triple P curriculum.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing the administrative functions of the program, including staffing, training, service delivery, and reporting.
  • Coordinating continuous recruitment and outreach efforts for program participants.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely data collection and reporting related to program participants and outcomes.
  • Delivering evidence-based parenting services and support within the community through various formats (group sessions, individual meetings, in-person, virtual).
  • Building partnerships with community organizations, parenting, and early childhood system agencies, as well as local parenting partners.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, child development/early childhood education, or a related field.
  • Experience in delivering program curricula to adults in group settings.
  • Proficiency in technology, including familiarity with database and spreadsheet applications, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to engage with families from diverse backgrounds and cultures, demonstrating cultural responsiveness.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and community resources.
  • Strong organizational skills to effectively manage both coordination and facilitation aspects of the role.
  • Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve obstacles to program success.
  • Excellent communication skills, encompassing written, verbal, and formal presentation abilities.
  • Understanding of how intersecting systems of racial, gender, and class discrimination impact early childhood educators, childcare programs, and the families they serve.
  • A commitment to contributing to a workplace that values collaboration, diversity, growth, and respect for all individuals.
  • Strong rapport-building skills, adept problem-solving abilities in various situations, and a solid analytical mindset.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
