POSITION TITLE:

Testing Coordinator

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This role is responsible for overseeing the execution and management of assessments conducted through the DSS Testing Center. The Testing Coordinator will handle the scheduling of tests, organize examination materials, facilitate training for Testing Center staff, and lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Testing Center operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees all activities related to student test scheduling, including the creation, distribution, and management of necessary documentation and communications.
  • Ensures a professional testing environment conducive to effective examination; monitors exam implementation; builds strong rapport with students; recommends process and policy improvements to management.
  • Communicates essential information regarding software and course procedures through workshops for new instructors, collaborating with technical support staff and proctors to train Testing Center personnel and users.
  • Analyzes student and exam data to ensure assessments align with course requirements. Maintains a comprehensive database for reporting on services provided, identifying trends, and assessing center needs.
  • Designs and implements training programs for students, staff, and faculty focused on testing policies, procedures, and management.
  • Coordinates with DSS staff, students, and faculty to facilitate the scheduling of accommodations for students in the Testing Center.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associate's degree

Experience: 2 years of relevant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Proficiency in managing computerized testing systems and facilities, including hardware and software.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and teaching experience.
  • Capacity to work effectively with diverse populations and a variety of stakeholders, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
