Overview:
The Legal Education Program Coordinator plays a vital role in managing accreditation for the firm's educational offerings, which include both internal and client-oriented courses.
This position serves as a resource for attorneys seeking to secure necessary accreditation to fulfill their professional development requirements and acts as the primary contact for inquiries related to state-specific accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Stay informed about changes in accreditation requirements and regulations relevant to the firm's operations, and communicate updates to the Professional Development Manager.
Execute the necessary procedures to apply for and secure accreditation for internal training sessions and client-facing educational events.
Promptly issue attendance certificates to participants of training sessions.
Maintain accurate program schedules, participant lists, and presenter details.
Oversee user accounts for the Practising Law Institute (PLI), including the creation and removal of access as required.
Identify PLI programs that qualify for CLE credits to assist attorneys in meeting compliance obligations.
Manage the CLE-related email correspondence.
Address inquiries from attorneys regarding CLE programs to ensure compliance or to clarify the application process for externally attended programs.
Develop and regularly assess a workflow for CLE processing, seeking opportunities for enhancement.
Assist in the annual recertification process for CPE Sponsor Status with NASBA.
Reconcile CLE-related credit card transactions for expense documentation.
Support additional initiatives and communications that foster attorney and paralegal development.
Assist with various administrative tasks related to CLE programs, including logistics coordination as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of three years in an administrative capacity within a professional office setting; prior experience in a legal environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with CLE regulations and accreditation processes across multiple jurisdictions is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude are essential.
• Ability to think independently and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Proven capability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining a constructive outlook.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Experience in coordinating programs across multiple office locations is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
