POSITION TITLE:

Testing Coordinator

ROLE SUMMARY:

This role is responsible for overseeing the execution and management of assessments conducted through the DSS Testing Center. The Testing Coordinator will handle the scheduling of examinations, manage exam materials, provide training and information dissemination to Testing Center staff, and lead initiatives to enhance the functionality of the Testing Center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee all activities and operations related to student exam scheduling, including the creation, distribution, and management of relevant documentation and communications.
  • Ensure a professional and conducive testing environment; monitor exam implementation and maintain a strong rapport with students; recommend process and policy improvements to management.
  • Facilitate communication regarding software and course procedures by conducting workshops for new instructors, collaborating with technical support, proctors, and Testing Center staff.
  • Analyze student and exam data to align assessments with course requirements. Maintain a comprehensive database for reporting services, identifying trends, and supporting departmental evaluations.
  • Design and implement training and educational programs for students, staff, and faculty concerning testing policies and exam management.
  • Coordinate with DSS staff, students, and faculty to ensure accommodations are met for students requiring assistance in the Testing Center.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associate's degree

Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Proficiency in managing computerized testing systems and processes, including hardware and software.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience and teaching capabilities.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations and promote a collaborative work environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
