POSITION TITLE:

Testing Coordinator

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This role is responsible for overseeing the execution and management of assessments conducted through the DSS Testing Center. The Testing Coordinator will handle the scheduling of tests, organize examination materials, and facilitate training and communication among Testing Center staff, while also striving to enhance the overall functionality of the Testing Center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees all operations related to student test scheduling, including the creation, distribution, and management of essential documentation and communications.
  • Ensures a professional testing environment conducive to effective assessment; monitors exam administration; builds strong rapport with students; recommends process and policy improvements to management.
  • Facilitates communication regarding software and course procedures by conducting workshops for new instructors, in collaboration with technical support staff and proctors.
  • Analyzes student and exam data to implement assessments that align with course requirements. Maintains a comprehensive database for reporting on services provided, identifying trends, and assessing center needs.
  • Designs and implements training and educational initiatives for students, staff, and faculty related to testing protocols and exam management.
  • Collaborates with DSS staff, students, and faculty to accommodate the scheduling needs of students requiring special arrangements in the Testing Center.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Associate's degree

Experience: 2 years of relevant work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Proficiency in managing computerized testing systems and related processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervisory roles and teaching.
  • Ability to effectively engage with diverse populations and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
