Immigrant Child Support Case Manager

Are you dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of unaccompanied immigrant children?
As a vital member of our team, the HS/PRS Case Manager will be responsible for delivering comprehensive case management and supportive services to unaccompanied minors transitioning from federal custody.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct home visits and phone assessments to evaluate the safety and suitability of the child's placement with their caregiver while facilitating connections to essential community services.
- Provide ongoing case management, focusing on identifying and addressing the child's needs across various domains, including placement, safety, education, health, mental health, legal matters, and enrichment activities.
- Deliver crisis intervention services directly or coordinate with families to ensure the minor's safety and well-being during emergencies.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Employ best practices in social work to conduct thorough assessments of the child's progress and the effectiveness of services provided.
- Ensure consistent communication with supervisors regarding any concerns related to the child's safety and stability.
- Engage in regular supervision and professional development opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of one year of experience in child welfare programs.
- Strong knowledge of community resources and the ability to connect families with necessary services.
- Exceptional clinical and crisis intervention skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong critical assessment and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Experience working with refugee or immigrant children is preferred.
- Cross-cultural or international experience is a plus.
Special Position Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- Must successfully pass an FBI background check and a CA/N check for all states of residence in the past five years.
