Position Overview:

The Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Child Support Services Case Manager (CSS Officer 2) to contribute to our mission of providing essential support to families in need.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be tasked with:

  • Evaluating and interpreting legal documents alongside intricate financial management data.
  • Applying detailed policies and procedures to ascertain the distribution of child support obligations.
  • Conducting thorough research on various databases to verify the accuracy of court orders and payment records.
  • Assessing cases for potential modifications to existing child support orders.
  • Gathering and analyzing information from case files to ensure comprehensive case management.
  • Engaging with clients, absent parents, employers, and legal representatives to collect necessary information for administrative actions.
  • Determining the necessary steps to ensure the precise allocation of funds.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of case management principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with legal documents and the workings of the court system.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
  • Proficiency in performing complex mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google tools.
  • Adeptness in utilizing automated information and case management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Child Support Services Officer I within Arizona State Service or equivalent experience in another jurisdiction.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret court orders and financial terminology.
  • A proven track record of working effectively in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
