Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and interpret legal documents alongside intricate financial management data.
  • Utilize complex policies and procedures to ascertain the distribution of financial obligations.
  • Conduct thorough research using various databases to verify the accuracy of court orders and payment records.
  • Evaluate cases for potential modifications to existing child support orders.
  • Gather and analyze information from case files to support decision-making.
  • Engage with clients, absent parents, employers, and legal representatives to collect necessary information for administrative or court actions.
  • Determine the appropriate steps to ensure the precise distribution of funds.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of case management principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with legal documents and the judicial process.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.
  • Proficiency in performing complex mathematical calculations.
  • Experience with financial recovery processes.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office and Google applications, as well as automated case management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply:

  • At least one year of experience as a Child Support Services Officer I within Arizona State Service or equivalent experience in another jurisdiction.
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills, particularly in interpreting court orders and financial terminology.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
