As a vital member of our organization, the HS/PRS Case Manager will be responsible for delivering essential case management and support services to unaccompanied minors who have been released from federal custody.

Location: Remote options available across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct home visits and phone consultations to evaluate the safety and suitability of placements for children with their caregivers.
  • Provide ongoing case management, focusing on identifying and addressing the needs of children in areas such as placement, safety, education, health, and legal matters.
  • Deliver crisis intervention services directly or connect families with necessary resources to ensure the safety and well-being of minors during emergencies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Utilize best practices in social work to assess the progress of children and the effectiveness of services provided.
  • Communicate regularly and promptly with supervisors regarding any concerns related to the safety and stability of children in care.
  • Engage in ongoing supervision and professional development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in child welfare programs.
  • Familiarity with community resources and the ability to connect families with appropriate services.
  • Strong clinical and crisis intervention skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Experience working with refugee or immigrant children is preferred.
  • Cross-cultural or international experience is a plus.

Special Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Must successfully pass an FBI background check and a CA/N check for every state of residence in the past five years.
