Position Overview:

The Vice President of Revenue Management will report directly to the CEO of a prominent freight solutions organization known for its comprehensive service offerings, including air and ocean freight forwarding, cold storage, customs brokerage, and E-Commerce solutions. This esteemed company is recognized as a leader in global air freight forwarding, particularly in handling temperature-sensitive shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robust growth strategy focused on enhancing sales, operational efficiency, and superior customer service across targeted sectors such as Pharmaceuticals, Government, and Perishables.
  • Drive client initiatives across critical global trade routes while collaborating with regional management to meet growth targets.
  • Craft service propositions that deliver value tailored to the unique capabilities of each client, while overseeing the entire sales cycle to expand the client base and foster organic growth.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the industry, providing insights and enhancing training for internal and external stakeholders with a focus on analytical and customer-centric methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in international freight forwarding, consolidations, and co-loading.
  • Proven success in selling to freight forwarders.
  • Strong orientation towards global air freight operations.
  • Familiarity with temperature-controlled freight logistics.
  • Experience in managing global or key accounts.
  • Expertise in complex and consultative sales processes.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Knowledge of trade lanes including Asia, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Middle East.
  • Experience in the verticals of Pharmaceuticals, Government/GSA, and Perishables.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in selling to shippers.
  • Background in value-added sales, such as customs brokerage and warehousing.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish is a plus.
