Position Overview:
As a vital member of our team, the Medical Administrative Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. This position involves a blend of administrative duties and coordination of medical support for our clients.

Work Schedule:
Full-time (40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the effective functioning of the medical coordination team through recruitment, training, and ongoing support.
2. Ensure adequate staffing by arranging for replacements as necessary.
3. Assist clients with transportation to medical appointments and pharmacies.
4. Collaborate with supervisory staff to coordinate on-site tasks and meet program objectives.
5. Perform various administrative duties, including document management and filing.
6. Prepare treatment authorization requests for unaccompanied refugee clients.
7. Act as the primary resource for Point Comfort Underwriters Insurance.
8. Foster and maintain positive relationships with contracted healthcare providers.
9. Manage records to ensure an efficient filing system for client information.
10. Address and rectify billing discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
11. Administer initial health screenings for refugees.
12. Schedule medical appointments and coordinate transportation logistics.
13. Communicate effectively with clients and staff regarding appointments and reminders.
14. Maintain up-to-date records on foster children in compliance with regulatory requirements.
15. Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
16. Manage office supplies and inventory.
17. Stay informed about relevant agency and regulatory requirements.
18. Occasionally travel to healthcare facilities to build relationships and assist clients.
19. Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an office environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Ability to provide compassionate customer service.
- Capable of working independently while maintaining confidentiality.
- Reliable and able to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Familiarity with office practices and basic accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a criminal history background check is required.
- Commitment to the agency's Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.

Compensation:
Salary range for this position is competitive and based on experience and geographical differentials.
