Client Support Specialist

Job Overview:
The Client Support Specialist addresses inquiries, concerns, and shipment tracking requests from external customers while exemplifying the utmost level of courtesy, integrity, and professionalism to resolve issues through phone and email interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to incoming customer inquiries and provide comprehensive information Inform customers daily regarding freight availability Conduct data entry for both domestic and international shipments Maintain a log for driver sign-ins Keep a record of cash transactions Organize files according to operational procedures and policy guidelines Perform daily audits on all outgoing shipments Process inbound manifests and finalize outbound manifests in the AS400 system Regularly monitor email requests and respond with detailed information promptly Exhibit consistent and reliable attendance Prepare in-bond documentation (for smaller stations only) Handle acceptance of containers and ensure proper documentation (for smaller stations only) Maintain office cleanliness, including vacuuming and emptying trash (for smaller stations only) Process dock receipts for export bookings and maintain relevant spreadsheets (for smaller stations only) Perform additional duties as assignedQualifications:
Proven ability to complete assignments and meet deadlines Capability to build and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues and management Aspirations for a long-term career with a leading company in the industry Ability to present and uphold a positive corporate image in a dynamic environment Proactively foster effective team relationships with all support departments Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Ability to perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and photocopying Capacity to manage a heavy workload and thrive under pressure Understanding of industry documentation (bill of lading, master air waybills, TSA forms, etc.) High school diploma or GED equivalent required Must be able to successfully complete basic hazardous materials trainingSkills:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude and a strong work ethic Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with AS400 operating systems is advantageous Knowledge and experience in the transportation industry is beneficial Computer proficiency, including MS Office/Excel and AS400 functions related to air-bills, manifests, customer service, and reportingForward Air is an Equal Opportunity employer.
