Territory Sales Executive

The Territory Sales Executive is tasked with establishing and nurturing relationships with broker/dealer (BD) advisors to enhance Jackson's sales performance within the designated region.
This role involves engaging in meetings, hosting seminars, executing campaigns, and conducting follow-ups. The Territory Sales Executive ensures that BD advisors are kept up-to-date with Jackson's evolving product offerings and service enhancements.Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates closely with the VP, Head of Sales to formulate a strategic business plan aimed at optimizing sales within the territory.
- Identifies and cultivates high-performing advisors, recruits new talent, and fortifies connections with current producers.
- Delivers product knowledge and sales training through one-on-one sessions, group meetings, seminars, and conferences.
- Strategically organizes and manages resource allocation to maximize sales potential while overseeing budgetary considerations.
- Works alongside an Internal Wholesaler to identify and nurture leads from referrals, campaigns, territory outreach, and follow-up meetings.
Utilizes Jackson's databases to create and maintain comprehensive advisor profiles and track sales activities.
Employs a CRM system to ensure effective communication with internal stakeholders.
Additional Duties
- Undertakes other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
- Demonstrates a strong capacity for independent work and effective communication.
- Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations to both current and prospective advisors.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of sales and marketing principles and practices.
- Expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of Jackson's existing and newly enhanced products, as well as marketing initiatives.
- Experience in marketing investment products and annuities to advisors.
- Proven track record in expanding a territory, evidenced by sales growth, producer count, and business persistency.
- Strong technological aptitude, including proficiency in software applications, email, and database management from remote locations.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight trips, with a minimum of four days per week spent in the field engaging with advisors.
- Meets established activity requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in investments, mutual funds, insurance, or annuities is required.
- Preferred experience includes 5+ years in the same fields.
- Prior experience in external wholesaling for annuities or investments is preferred.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification is required.
- FINRA Series 6 or 7, FINRA Series 63, and a State Insurance License are required.
