Position Overview

Schneider Electric is on the lookout for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Regional Sales Manager for the Central Region of the United States. This pivotal role entails crafting and overseeing a comprehensive strategic plan for the region. By selecting and managing distribution and sales partners, the Regional Sales Manager will be instrumental in driving consistent revenue and profit growth in the Central U.S. The successful candidate will set and implement sales objectives while directing sales operations and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Growth: Achieve sales goals and ensure sustained revenue increase in the assigned region.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and manage a strategic plan to enhance lead generation, pipeline growth, and sales opportunities. This includes:
    • Identifying key accounts and understanding local market dynamics to drive results.
    • Creating a clear business development strategy for the territory.
    • Formulating plans to foster new business growth.
    • Establishing a staffing plan to implement strategies effectively.
    • Conducting market analysis to increase market share.
    • Performing competitive analysis to understand key competitors and sales channels.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and engage top-tier distributors and partners.
  • Collaboration: Build strong relationships with the National Sales force and Field Services.
  • Performance Tracking: Work closely with distributors to monitor their performance.
  • Business Reviews: Conduct quarterly reviews with sales personnel and ASMs.
  • Marketing Coordination: Collaborate with Marketing on all promotional activities and programs.
  • Reporting: Complete required reports in a timely manner.
  • Budget Management: Manage expenses in accordance with budgetary guidelines.

People Development
  • Ensure high standards of people management by continuously analyzing and enhancing management practices.
  • Foster employee growth through coaching and training initiatives.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales or channel management, particularly in electrical distribution or related sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to focus on customer needs, set a clear vision, innovate, develop talent, influence others, foster collaboration, and achieve results.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in the electrical distribution industry within the United States.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
