About the Role:
As a Commercial Territory Sales Consultant, you will represent Progressive in your designated area, working closely with independent agencies. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with agents to promote the use of Progressive's offerings, tailoring your interactions to foster mutual benefits for both the company and the agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Manage and enhance the quality of your assigned book of business.
- Address and overcome objections to drive profitable growth.
- Establish yourself as a trusted partner by understanding the goals of the agencies and aligning our products with their needs.
Position Details:
This role is hybrid, requiring frequent travel within your territory. You will be provided with a company vehicle, phone, laptop, and credit card to facilitate your work.
Territory: Tennessee and Kentucky. Overnight travel is expected (approximately 2-3 nights per week).
Home Office: Nashville, TN and surrounding areas.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED or higher with a minimum of six years of experience in outside business-to-business sales or territory management; or a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of relevant experience.
- Compliance with Progressive's driving standards is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
Preferred Skills:
- Demonstrated success in outside business-to-business sales with the ability to influence and achieve results.
- Experience managing a field-based schedule independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with sales or customer relationship management tools (e.g., Salesforce).
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual salary range: $84,000 - $101,000.
- Potential Gainshare bonus up to 30% based on company performance.
