About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Territory Sales Representative to join our Commercial team at Progressive Insurance. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with independent agencies in your assigned territory, driving growth and increasing utilization of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with agents in your territory to influence and advocate for increased utilization of Progressive's products and services
  • Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to create opportunities for both Progressive and the agency
  • Manage the quality of the book of business and overcome objections to drive profitable growth within your territory
  • Build strong relationships with agency partners and become a trusted advisor to their business
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of six years outside business-to-business sales experience or territory management experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three years outside business-to-business sales experience or territory management experience
  • Compliance with Progressive's driving standards and policy
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance
Preferred Skills
  • Outside business-to-business sales experience with a demonstrated ability to advocate, influence, and advance results and business outcomes
  • Ability to manage work and weekly schedule independently and efficiently, prior experience in a field-based role
  • Ability to use formal and informal networks to accomplish goals and review data sources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with a sales or customer relationship management tool (i.e., Salesforce)
Compensation and Benefits
  • $84,000-$101,000/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
