Job Title: Account Representative

At Stumptown Coffee Corp, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Representative to join our team. As an Account Representative, you will play a critical role in supporting our existing customers, working closely with our Wholesale Sales team to provide exceptional service and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategies for business retention and incremental growth in the market.
  • Provide account management and business consultation services to customers, acting as the primary point of contact for frequent touchpoints.
  • Regularly track customer sales performance, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and provide proactive outreach to drive sales of seasonal product initiatives.
  • Act as a business partner to increase customer revenue through knowledge and utilization of all relevant Stumptown product offerings, launches, and programs.
  • Perform customer research to inform outreach strategy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay current on food, beverage, and coffee industry trends, businesses, openings, closings, and general news within the assigned market.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years of experience in Account Management, Cafe Management, or Sales, preferably in the Specialty Coffee or Food & Beverage industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple work assignments to achieve performance targets.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across different teams and individuals, with a focus on customer retention and positive revenue growth.
  • Experience with Microsoft and Google suite applications, with a preference for Excel/Sheets and Word/Docs.
  • Ability to work in the field, with intermittent out-of-state travel to other markets, as required.
Work Environment:

This is an hourly, non-exempt position based in Los Angeles, California. The role requires the ability to sit continuously at a computer, carry weight/lift up to 5 pounds frequently, and up to 25 pounds occasionally. The position may occasionally require travel via car and/or airline, standing and/or sitting for extended periods, and occasional overnight hotel stays.
