Washington, Washington, D.C., United States Booz Allen Hamilton Full time

Opportunity Overview:

Are you ready to leverage your analytical expertise to optimize financial resources for the Navy? Understanding the complexities of cost management in system development and maintenance is crucial, and we need a financial analyst who can provide comprehensive financial insights for the Navy.

As a financial analyst on our team, you will convert project requirements into detailed cost assessments through meticulous data gathering, model creation, and comprehensive cost and risk evaluations. Your insights will guide significant investment decisions impacting hundreds of millions of dollars throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for identifying essential cost data, formulating data collection strategies, and reviewing preliminary work breakdown structures (WBSs) and cost reporting frameworks. Engaging with subject matter experts, engineers, and project managers, you will extract critical data regarding submarine communication systems and undersea integration technologies. Your analytical skills will allow you to interpret raw data using various data science methodologies, including data normalization, statistical regression, and learning curve analysis. Proficient in dynamic modeling with Microsoft Excel and adept at quantifying cost uncertainties through Monte Carlo simulations, you will utilize your analytical and data visualization skills to convey meaningful insights. By developing comprehensive ownership cost estimates, you will assist program managers and senior leadership in effectively planning and deploying systems on schedule. This role presents an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in naval systems while advancing your financial analysis career.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership, teamwork, and collaboration abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or Economics
  • Certification as a Certified Cost Estimator and Analyst (CCE/A) from the International Cost Estimating and Analysis Association (ICEAA)
