Role Summary

The Financial Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting fiscal, budgetary, and accounting functions. This position involves planning, organizing, and coordinating the development and execution of financial operations, processes, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the formulation of the annual budget and analyze statewide expenditure data.
  • Conduct monthly financial analysis of programs/projects and evaluate expenditures and budgets.
  • Support executive decision-making by presenting financial insights and project details to senior management.
  • Utilize analytical skills to dissect complex business challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the establishment and upkeep of performance metrics and targets to enhance financial accountability.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and complex spreadsheets).
  • Strong background in financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Ability to provide customer service to diverse audiences, including professionals and executives.
  • General understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
  • Experience in developing performance metrics to ensure financial accountability is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with the Cardinal Financial system is preferred.

Note: This position requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
