The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) is dedicated to enhancing the fiscal integrity and accountability of government operations. We are currently seeking a Budget Analyst who will play a crucial role in the development, justification, and oversight of budgetary processes within their designated agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the precision of budget submissions, conducting detailed analyses of specific financial programs and initiatives, and providing informed recommendations and reliable budget forecasts.
  • Collaborate with program directors and financial teams to gather essential data that supports robust justifications for budget requests.
  • Monitor the expenditure of assigned program budgets to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, compliance with established standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing oversight of program spending against approved financial allocations.
  • Create tools and guidelines to enhance the department's capacity for effective budget formulation, execution assessments, and strategic planning.
  • Evaluate the implications of updated budget execution policies and timelines, offering guidance to program management regarding fund status and related issues.
  • Prepare comprehensive budgetary documentation, including reports, tables, letters, and memoranda.
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications: A minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in budget formulation, justification, monitoring, coordination, and approval, along with experience in preparing reports and analyses related to funding.
