Lead Maintenance Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for dedicated professionals to become integral members of our full-time, on-site team. The Lead Maintenance Coordinator will oversee a team of Shift Leads, ensuring optimal performance to meet production requirements. This role involves managing equipment availability and performance while conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on various electro-mechanical, robotic, and pneumatic manufacturing systems.
Essential Duties:
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate operations across departments such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop policies and procedures, ensuring efficient use of materials and human resources.
- Provide training, mentoring, and career development for shift personnel.
- Act as an advisor to Shift Leads, addressing technical issues and managing on-shift escalations.
- Identify complex problems, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
- Verify task execution completion (PM, SOP, SWI, etc.).
- Communicate detailed work plans and serve as the primary contact for Shift Maintenance Leads regarding shift issues.
- Review performance data to assess productivity and goal achievement.
- Empower and recognize individuals and teams for their contributions.
- Ensure the effective use of company resources to maintain safe manufacturing practices.
- Establish and uphold a robust preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
To safeguard our employees, PPE may be required, including items such as Tyvek suits, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face masks, and hazmat suits with respirators.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Essential Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience managing a maintenance department in a highly automated environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial equipment in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Strong background in preventive maintenance development and familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance principles.
- Experience managing a maintenance workforce in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Proven ability to lead electromechanical and instrumentation technicians.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and continuous process improvement methodologies.
- Understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) concepts.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Familiarity with 5S implementation.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Basic understanding of Electrical Theory and proficiency in PLC operations.
