Job Summary

The Intake Specialist plays a critical role in the onboarding process of potential residents, ensuring a seamless transition into our services. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on providing timely and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor all activities related to potential resident intake, including answering calls and responding to inquiries.
  • File and retrieve documents and reference materials, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Monitor, screen, and respond to incoming communications, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of issues.
  • Liaise with internal staff at all levels, providing clear and concise information to support the onboarding process.
  • Interact with external clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and clear documentation according to established policies and procedures.
  • Handle unexpected situations effectively, responding to challenges, deadlines, and emergencies in a professional and composed manner.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
  • CASAC-T certification is required, with CASAC certification preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid New York State Driver's License is a plus, but not required.
