Project Recruit is collaborating with a distinguished boutique law firm specializing in real estate, comprised of 20 attorneys, to find a seasoned commercial real estate litigation counsel. This role involves supporting various aspects of complex commercial real estate financing for both entrepreneurial and institutional clients, with a primary focus on representing commercial lenders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafting and preparing legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and appeals.
- Representing clients in state and federal court appearances as well as mediations.
- Conducting due diligence related to the acquisition and disposition of notes and mortgages.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 10 years of experience as a senior attorney in general commercial and real estate litigation.
- Exceptional skills in legal research and writing.
- Proven experience in real estate litigation.
- Management experience is preferred.
- Strong negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent communication and writing skills for client interactions.
- Must hold admission to practice law in New York (New Jersey admission is a plus).
- Experience in bankruptcy law is advantageous.
