Company Overview: Walker's Renton Mazda is a well-established automotive dealership seeking a dedicated Human Resources Administrator to enhance our HR operations.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in human resources, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Position Type: Full-Time (Exempt)

Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with department heads to attract and hire qualified candidates.
  • Manage worker's compensation and L&I claims effectively.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and staff on employee relations issues.
  • Facilitate employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new hires across dealership locations.
  • Manage the open enrollment process for employee benefits.
  • Track and manage PTO accruals accurately.
  • Maintain personnel records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and updates in HRIS and Paychex systems.
  • Handle offboarding processes and employee termination documentation.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and related inquiries.
  • Address complex issues requiring policy interpretation and understanding of departmental goals.
  • Oversee all leaves of absence, including paid leave, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Assist with payroll submissions in line with scheduled pay periods.
  • Review, revise, and implement HR policies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a generalist or managerial role.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HRIS.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or SHRM or PHR certification is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
