Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary resource for HR-related inquiries and support.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to attract and hire qualified candidates.
  • Manage Worker’s Compensation and L&I claims effectively.
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support in employee relations matters.
  • Facilitate employee disciplinary processes and investigations.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new hires across dealership locations.
  • Manage the open enrollment process for employee benefits.
  • Track and manage Paid Time Off accruals.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Ensure the HRIS and Paychex systems are updated with accurate information.
  • Handle offboarding and termination processes for employees.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and related inquiries.
  • Address complex issues requiring policy interpretation and understanding of departmental goals.
  • Administer all types of Leaves of Absence, including Paid Leave, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Assist with payroll submissions in line with scheduled pay periods.
  • Review, revise, and implement HR policies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a Generalist or Manager role.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws at the state, local, and federal levels.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or SHRM or PHR certification is preferred.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
