RESPONSIBILITIES

Weatherford is seeking a Production Engineering Consultancy Manager.

The Production Engineering Consultancy Manager integrates strong consulting and interpersonal skills with specialized technical expertise to propose solutions that tackle client challenges related to upstream production management. This role is pivotal in cultivating client relationships by actively leading projects to deliver targeted solutions and identifying additional revenue-generating prospects. Effective team management, critical thinking, and sales acumen are essential for success in this position. The Manager should be capable of executing technical tasks independently and must assume the role of technical lead while managing the consulting services team. The individual should be adept at understanding and articulating inputs such as data and assumptions, workflows, results, and recommendations to clients, as well as the implications of these on operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical leadership and management for the delivery of consulting solutions.
  • Lead and oversee the Production Engineering consulting team in task assignments and project responsibilities.
  • Serve as the client interface for all solutions and services provided by the team.
  • Offer technical sales support for all production-related products and solutions, including artificial lift technologies and production optimization software.
  • Assist in developing consulting solution workflows to address client challenges in the production domain.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Exhibit proficiency in all Production Engineering tasks expected from a Senior Consultant.
  • Review engineering data to define objectives and strategies for production optimization studies.
  • Design and implement artificial lift methods and conduct failure management reviews.
  • Generate and manage demo stories for Weatherford Software Products and conduct demonstrations.
  • Prepare proposals and bids for services in the production domain and negotiate project details.
  • Manage and monitor large-scale client projects to facilitate consulting team activities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations based on technical reviews and deliver recommendations to clients.
  • Lead, mentor, and train junior technical professionals and consultants.
  • Utilize time management skills to prioritize and manage projects effectively.
  • Stay current on industry regulations and contribute to the global technical community.
  • Complete all mandatory training, including HSE training, in compliance with corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Weatherford Quality Policy and safety rules.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATION

Essential:
  • Bachelor/Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of functional experience post-Master's/PhD; add 5 years with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in customer success management or engagement programs.
  • Physical ability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Availability for frequent domestic travel up to 25%.
Preferred:
  • 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Consulting experience related to digital oil field solutions.
  • Experience evaluating well performance under various conditions.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard Production software.
  • Strong background in crafting and delivering proposals.
