RESPONSIBILITIES
Weatherford is seeking a Production Engineering Consultancy Manager.
The Production Engineering Consultancy Manager merges strong consulting and interpersonal skills with specialized technical expertise to propose solutions that tackle client challenges related to upstream production management. This role is pivotal in developing client relationships by actively leading projects to deliver targeted solutions and identifying additional revenue-generating opportunities. Effective team management, critical thinking, and sales capabilities are essential for success in this position. The Manager should be capable of executing technical tasks independently and must fulfill the role of technical lead while managing the consulting services team. The individual should effectively comprehend and communicate inputs such as data and assumptions, workflows, results, and recommendations to clients, as well as the implications of these on operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical leadership and management for the delivery of consulting solutions.
- Lead and manage the Production Engineering consulting team in task assignments and project responsibilities.
- Serve as the client interface for all solutions and services provided by the team.
- Offer technical sales support for all production-related products and solutions.
- Assist in developing consulting solution workflows to address client challenges in production.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership to complex projects.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all Production Engineering tasks expected from a Senior Consultant.
- Review engineering data to define objectives and strategies for production optimization studies.
- Define and develop production philosophies for optimal production.
- Design, specify, implement, monitor, and optimize artificial lift methods.
- Conduct failure management reviews and provide recommendations.
- Exhibit proficiency with industry-standard software tools related to artificial lift design.
- Experience with digital oil field technologies for operational support and performance monitoring.
- Conduct production allocation and optimization workflows.
- Perform economic evaluations to select optimal development strategies.
- Provide solutions for challenges in primary and secondary recovery methods.
- Implement digital oil field technology for real-time production optimization.
- Conduct flow assurance studies for reliable operations.
- Generate and manage demo stories for Weatherford Software Products.
- Prepare proposals and bids for services in the production domain.
- Manage and monitor large-scale client projects simultaneously.
- Advise clients on data to estimate production potential and determine the best strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations based on technical reviews.
- Facilitate client sessions to determine needs and manage expectations.
- Mentor and train junior technical professionals.
- Utilize time management skills to prioritize and manage projects.
- Develop solutions to technical problems in compliance with company policies.
- Stay current on industry regulations and contribute to technical communities.
- Complete mandatory training and maintain an acceptable HSE record.
- Comply with Weatherford Quality Policy and safety rules.
- Perform various other duties as assigned.
Essential:
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or relevant engineering field.
- Minimum of 10 years of functional experience post-Master's/PhD, or 15 years with a Bachelor's degree.
- Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in customer success management.
- Experience in providing demos and software presentations.
- Physical ability to respond to emergency situations.
- Availability for frequent domestic travel up to 25%.
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Consulting experience in digital oil field solutions.
- Experience evaluating well performance under various conditions.
- Familiarity with industry-standard production software.
- Advanced knowledge of Weatherford software programs.
- Strong background in proposal development.
