Overview:

The Principal Business Consultant plays a crucial role in executing successful implementation projects while prioritizing client satisfaction. This position also emphasizes the importance of sharing best practices within the team and guiding junior consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver successful project implementations with a focus on client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the establishment of best practices and mentor junior team members.
  • Assist the Project Manager in various tasks, including SOW development and project planning.
  • Act as the Lead Business Consultant for implementation projects across multiple functional areas.
  • Manage chargeability across multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Create and maintain Best Practice Documentation in relevant functional areas.
  • Identify and pursue additional consulting opportunities at client sites.
  • Provide relevant information to Managers and Account Managers as needed.
  • Offer industry and functional expertise during discovery workshops to design, configure, test, and support the Product solution tailored to client needs.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing expert consultation and advice.
  • Maintain close communication with the Project Manager regarding client inquiries and issues related to the Product solution.
  • Lead the workshop and requirements phase of projects.
  • Act as a mentor and role model for Business Consultants across various functional areas.
  • Collaborate with Managers to enhance and disseminate implementation best practices.
  • Present the Product solution to both executive and user-level audiences.
  • Support the Project Manager in securing client approval for deliverables and milestones.
  • Engage in hands-on project implementation throughout all phases, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
  • Provide sales and presales support, including estimations and document preparation for RFP/RFI responses.
  • Assist Technical Consultants by offering business and functional guidance, as well as reviewing and validating scripted solutions.
  • Consult with ION Product Management to stay updated on industry developments that can enhance ION Products.
  • Contribute to the development of service best practices.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Experience with Openlink Endur product implementations.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the ETRM industry or related project exposure, preferably in a consulting role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a project team.
  • Willingness to work on-site at client locations.
  • 8 to 10 years of direct experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting installations in client environments.
  • 8 to 10 years of industry and systems experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple areas of Product configuration and in one or more industry Product sets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
