RESPONSIBILITIES

Weatherford is seeking a Production Engineering Consultancy Manager.

The Production Engineering Consultancy Manager integrates strong consulting and interpersonal skills with specialized technical expertise to propose solutions that address client challenges in upstream production management. This role is pivotal in developing client relationships by actively leading projects to deliver targeted solutions and identifying additional revenue opportunities. Effective team management, critical thinking, and sales acumen are essential for success in this position. The Manager must be capable of performing technical tasks independently and fulfilling the role of technical lead while managing the consulting services team. The individual should be adept at comprehending and articulating inputs such as data, assumptions, workflows, results, and recommendations to clients, along with the implications of these on operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide technical leadership and management for the delivery of consulting solutions.
  • Lead and manage the Production Engineering consulting team, assigning tasks and project responsibilities.
  • Serve as the client interface for all solutions and services provided by the team.
  • Offer technical sales support for all production-related products and solutions.
  • Assist in developing consulting workflows and concepts to address client challenges in production.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and provide technical leadership on projects.
  • Exhibit proficiency in all Production Engineering tasks expected from a Senior Consultant.
  • Conduct reviews of engineering data to define objectives and strategies for production optimization studies.
  • Develop production philosophies for optimal output.
  • Design and implement artificial lift methods and monitor their performance.
  • Conduct failure management reviews and provide mitigation recommendations.
  • Maintain proficiency with industry-standard software tools related to production engineering.
  • Generate and manage demo stories for Weatherford Software Products.
  • Prepare proposals and bids for services in the production domain.
  • Manage and monitor large-scale client projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with teams and clients to estimate production potential and devise strategies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations based on technical evaluations.
  • Facilitate client sessions to determine needs and resolve concerns.
  • Mentor and train junior technical professionals.
  • Utilize time management skills to prioritize and manage projects effectively.
  • Develop solutions to technical challenges based on industry standards.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and contribute to technical society initiatives.
  • Complete all mandatory training, including HSE training.
  • Comply with Weatherford's Quality Policy and safety rules.
  • Execute work assignments to the highest quality standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in customer success management.
  • Physical ability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.
Preferred:
  • 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Consulting experience in digital oil field solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard production software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Weatherford software programs.
  • Strong background in proposal development.
