Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Controls or Scheduling Specialist to join our team for a significant project assignment.

The selected professional will play a crucial role in supporting project management by providing essential information regarding scheduling, progress, and the status of engineering and procurement backlogs. This role involves developing various schedule-related data for construction managers, segment managers, and superintendents, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the schedule, targets, and updated statuses to effectively drive construction activities. All information will be produced under the guidance of the Project Controls Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Project Controls Manager and Project Directors.
  • Oversee project progress reporting.
  • Develop and review project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Manage construction schedules, monitor progress, and assess productivity.
  • Supervise the status of engineering and procurement deliverables to visualize construction backlogs and propose necessary countermeasures.
  • Summarize and present key construction schedule statuses, targets, and critical paths for management and stakeholders.
  • Analyze construction statuses to identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to management.
  • Collaborate with Construction Managers, Segment Managers, and Engineering/Procurement Managers to develop and communicate schedule and productivity statuses.
  • Assist in fulfilling all month-end project reporting requirements.
  • Engage in risk and opportunity analysis for the project, contributing to the identification and measurement of project risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external project control meetings and actively participate in facilitating these discussions.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Primavera P6.
  • Familiarity with Navisworks Simulate for visualizing construction schedules and statuses using 3D models.
  • Knowledge of Excel VBA for developing visualized construction schedules and statuses.
  • Experience with Power BI for live status reporting.
  • Strong understanding of EPC projects, earned value management, CPM scheduling, and detailed construction planning.
  • Commitment to accuracy and reliability in all tasks.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with clients, joint venture partners, and engineering teams.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, or Construction Science.
  • Over 10 years of experience in oil and gas construction.
