Overview:

Oversee and direct the engineering and design efforts for various construction initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish project parameters for engineering requirements and deliverables.
  • Assist in Process Safety Management and Process Hazard Analysis.
  • Effectively convey project specifications through engineering sketches and verbal communication to the design team. Organize tasks efficiently for design execution.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple disciplines and foster strong inter-disciplinary connections.
  • Examine drawing packages for precision and thoroughness.
  • Perform essential calculations for the discipline and validate calculations conducted by fellow engineers.
  • Manage Equipment Specifications and liaise with vendors.
  • Execute additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
Educational Background and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical discipline from an accredited institution with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the petrochemical, chemical, offshore, pipeline, or utility sectors. Alternatively, a suitable blend of education and experience to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.

Licenses:

Valid Driver's License in accordance with State regulations.

Professional Engineer Intern status with professional registration is a plus.

Key Skills:

Expertise in discipline design codes and industry regulatory standards.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, with at least 2 years of experience preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and similar software, particularly in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing.

Knowledge of discipline-specific software applications such as ETAP, STAAD, CEASAR, etc.

Physical Demands:

Able to navigate industrial facilities and construction sites, walking up to one mile outdoors throughout the year.

Capacity to work in protective equipment under varying temperatures for brief periods.

Proficient in using multi-level stair towers and rung ladders independently.

Ability to hear alarms while utilizing hearing protection.

Capability to work at a desk, using a computer for extended durations.

Proficient in standing, using hands, gripping, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, talking, and hearing.

Ability to see clearly and distinguish colors.

Capacity to operate a vehicle with a valid license.

Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
