Patient Service Representative, ICC West Loop, Full-Time Days

Job Summary
The Patient Service Representative plays a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience at Northwestern Medical Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling patient registration, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with patients and guests, confirming identity and providing necessary information related to their visit.
- Complete check-in/out functions, confirm and update patient identification and demographic/insurance information, and complete patient registration as needed.
- Obtain patient consents/authorizations, collect co-payments, past due balances, and point of service payments, and post payments and process billing information.
- Keep the waiting area clean and comfortable, inform patients of any delays or changes in appointment status, and schedule appointments as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Zero (0) to two (2) years experience in a customer service position.
- Preferred: Bachelors degree, previous experience in a healthcare setting, working knowledge of medical terminology, and bilingual.
