Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with patients and guests, confirming identity and providing necessary information related to their visit.
  • Complete check-in/out functions as directed, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
  • Confirm and update patient identification and demographic/insurance information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Collect co-payments, past due balances, and point of service payments, processing billing information and performing end-of-day cash drawer closing.
  • Keep waiting areas clean and comfortable, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Inform patients of any delays or changes in appointment status, providing clear and concise communication.
  • Schedule appointments as necessary, utilizing effective time management skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Zero to two years of experience in a customer service position.
  • Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree, previous experience in a healthcare setting, working knowledge of medical terminology, and bilingual skills.
