Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Business Development & Marketing Department, you will be responsible for implementing business development strategy and driving new business and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to attorneys within assigned practice groups, leveraging practice, industry, and client knowledge to retain and expand client relationships.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop strategic business development plans and advise on best practices and strategies.
  • Establish data metrics and client pipelines to drive revenue growth.
  • Engage with departments and attorneys to develop a deep understanding of client needs and legal solutions.
  • Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Serve as primary strategic advisor for proposals and collaborate with attorneys and pricing professionals on proposal strategy.
  • Track new business prospects and lead cultivation across assigned practice areas.
  • Support opportunities to increase brand awareness and profile for assigned practice areas.
  • Oversee the development of strategic research on clients, competitors, and industry developments to inform business development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 5-7 years of marketing/business development experience working with attorneys and practice groups required.
  • Large law firm or professional services experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business development and sales functions in a professional services environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize workload, and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to self-start and work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
Work Environment

This role operates in a clerical, office setting and requires sedentary work with occasional walking and standing.
