Position Overview

The Warehouse Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in assisting the Warehouse Manager with the daily operations necessary to ensure optimal efficiency. This position emphasizes the importance of leveraging department leaders to effectively coordinate tasks, thereby maximizing daily output in alignment with the scheduled plan. Strong leadership capabilities are essential to guide workflow requirements, including training, monitoring, and continuously enhancing processes to meet both customer and organizational objectives. Our company is a dynamic and expanding entity with a workforce primarily fluent in English and Mandarin, making effective communication vital for achieving our picking, packing, shipping, and distribution efficiency targets, ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee, instruct, and monitor activities throughout the warehouse to proactively address process challenges, with a focus on achieving a 100% completion rate daily. Performance metrics applicable
  • Assist the manager in staff scheduling to fulfill customer needs, implementing necessary adjustments to workflow documentation, and ensuring the accuracy of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate and execute the tasks of picking, packing, shipping, and receiving teams to meet daily operational requirements while adhering to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Direct the workflow and quality of operations to enhance efficiency and reduce overtime.
  • Recommend and implement process improvement initiatives within the warehouse to management.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts as issues arise.
  • Initiate cross-training and new methodologies to improve inter-departmental collaboration.
  • Act as a liaison between staff and management to communicate activities, challenges, and strategic plans.
  • Manage inventory control functions within the AX system.
  • Prioritize and manage staff assignments according to the director's plan.
  • Observe, maintain, and complete standard operational tasks.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Assist in other areas as required.
  • Support the Expediter and pickers to ensure each work order is completed efficiently.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to maintain stable operations.
  • Open to working various shifts as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is advantageous.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume distribution environments.
  • Demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Able to make quick decisions and solve problems effectively.
  • Capacity to multitask and adapt quickly to new information.
  • Forklift operation experience, preferably with stand-up models.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Utilization of rolling safety stairs.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
