Position Overview
The Logistics Supervisor plays a crucial role in the manufacturing workflow. This position is essential for identifying and resolving issues related to the manufacturing, storage, and distribution of products. Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit are vital for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily logistics operations, encompassing inbound receiving, precise warehousing, material distribution, and outbound shipments.
  • Delegate tasks to operators at the beginning of each shift, ensuring all responsibilities are met throughout.
  • Conduct daily evaluations of operators' performance.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records on a daily basis.
  • Adhere to escalation protocols for various management levels when addressing issues.
  • Ensure compliance with standardized work and safety regulations, administering discipline as necessary.
  • Guarantee timely and accurate outbound shipments to clients.
  • Facilitate team meetings and safety discussions.
  • Perform precise inventory counts and make necessary adjustments in the ERP system.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, generate reports, and create presentations to provide management with insights into logistics operations.
  • Ensure equitable distribution of overtime among staff.
  • Foster relationships within the organization and with external partners, including suppliers and distributors.
  • Prevent production downtime by ensuring timely delivery of components to production lines.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to identify challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Participate in annual physical inventory assessments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Ability to manage a team of up to 50 hourly employees across various processes.
  • Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous.
  • Capability to multitask in a high-pressure setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Availability to work some weekends.
  • A strong customer service orientation.
